“This is a huge step for my career to be trusted by all involved to do a good job. A massive thanks goes out to both Jones’s for allowing this opportunity to become a reality. I also want to send my gratitude to the team for running such a fantastic operation whilst we have been testing, I am sure that the race will be even better and finally to Matt for helping me settle into a team he has a lot of experience with.”

This is Owens Third race in the 24H series with the two previous races ending in two class wins in both the Dubai 24h and the Abu Dhabi 6h respectively. The GT4 entry for Barcelona looks strong with a total of 12 cars aiming to take the top spot. Owen had this to say “It will be a challenge for sure but I do believe that we have one of the prepped cars that will be run to the absolute best standard by Venture.” Owen went onto say “we have a very strong lineup however this is a new adventure for us so the testing the week of the event will be crucial to help us secure a strong result.”

This is also half German Owen’s first-time racing in the German manufactures GT4 car. However, the Mercedes is known to be a very strong package so should have no problem competing with the rest of the field if in the right window.
